There's plenty to do and see at BAFF 2016 whilst you sip, slurp and scoff your way around the markets!

Broil King Demo Kitchen
Market Place

Our resident chef, Richard 'Foxy' Fox, will be cooking up a storm on the Broil King Kitchen in the Market Place.  This year Foxy will be taking his inspiration from the fabulous produce available in the Taste Durham Market, so if something particularly tantalises your taste buds you can pick up the ingredients and have a go yourself at home!

Saturday: 10am / 12pm / 2pm / 4pm
Sunday: 10am / 12pm / 2pm

The Liver Cottage Kitchen

Comedy chefs - Hugh Fearn and Lee Whittingstall - will be taking  over the kitchen to deliver a cookery demonstration like no other.

Their signature dish Pan Fried Pizza Crusts with Medallions of Air Dried Chewing Gum has been hailed by the critics as "Groundbreaking!", "Audacious!" and, well, "Chewy!"

Whatever you do, don't accept an invitation to sample their dishes...

Saturday: 11am / 1pm / 3pm
Sunday: 11am / 1pm / 3pm

The Urban Rajah Indian Street Kitchen Pop-up
Bowling Green, Auckland Castle Grounds

The glorious Ivor Peters, aka The Urban Rajah, will be bringing a taste of the Indian Subcontinent to BAFF with a series of free demos in his pop-up Indian Street Kitchen.

He is a food writer, cook, traveller and lifestyle adventurer, and sports one of the finest moustaches you will ever see!

His food and ideology brings together a distillation of global culture, stories from a vibrant past fuelled by migration, ideas and trends, a celebration of the individual, and a thirst for abundant life.

Bask in the glorious smells as you revel in the theatre of Indian cookery.  And if you're lucky you may even get to try the final dish.

Saturday: 11am / 1pm / 3pm
Sunday: 11am / 1pm / 2.15pm

All over the festival

BAFF gives a melodic nod to its sister festival, the Durham BRASS Festival, which will be celebrating its tenth birthday this July.

Two of the festival's all-time favourite street bands will be bringing their brassy-party vibes to the markets and marquees.  For a sneaky peak of what to expect check out the film we made at last year's BRASS Festival, watch the Party in the Park film here.
